<sup>Personality: Born into royalty, Marek has been brought up to be a chivalrous, bold leader. He was also born into a society that had high expectations, ones that he isn't sure he wants to achieve. He knows what he thinks on almost every issue imaginable, though he only makes his opinions on anything when directly asked. He hates confrontation and likes to just blend into the crowd, which isn't helped by him being a prince. None-the-less, he is very compassionate, humble and forgiving, though his spirit is restless and his actions are often rash.

Marek is happiest when he gets his way, being able to do what he wants (though not in a rude way) and when he is away from his family, that way they have less power over him. He gets sad when he thinks about the future, because everyone has already planned out his future for him but he doesn't see any light in that future. He wants to create his own. He also doesn't like talking to his parents, everything they say normally makes him frustrated and mad as they don't seem to understand him at all. He wants to find his purpose, his destiny. Above all, he wants to become a hero apart from his royal duties.

Background: Marek was the first born and heir to the throne of Flutter Field on June 7th. Even from birth, much was expected from him. He wasn't pressured much in his young years, as the king and queen mainly focused on training him up to be a knowledgeable and strong leader. They often tried to leave the King of Flutter Field out.

But soon he knew that they wanted him to grow up to be like them: rule the kingdom, protect it from danger, make wise decisions and (as his mother often points out) marry to produce another heir. Marek really hated most of it. He didn't want to be king just because he was born into it. He wanted to deserve it and he felt as if he didn't.

Though he wanted to make his parents proud, he can't help but wish he a normal boy, going to Amethyst Academy and playing games with the Swinging Gate. So he would sneak out and try to blend in. Marek also hates public things such as balls and events. Most of the time he doesn't even attend them. Instead he stays in his chamber or escapes until all the guests leave.</sup>
